Idaho Falls, the 4th largest city in Idaho, is finally welcoming Costco. Thornton Oliver Keller’s own Brent Wilson is representing the big-box retailer, who plans on building a 150,000 square foot store at the intersection of Lincoln and Hitt Roads. The facility will also include a 15-30 pump fueling station.
The store will be located in the North submarket, where retail vacancy is currently 10.80%. According to Dana Briggs, Idaho Falls’ economic development director, Costco will help spur other economic development in this area of the city, and will attract members from both inside and outside of the city to shop in Idaho Falls.
Construction will begin in September and the store is expected to open in August 2020.
