SINGLE FAMILY PERMITS & VALUES
Population growth continues to support residential development, with Esri forecasting Eastern Idaho to grow 1.1 percent annually through 2031. Single-family permit activity increased 12 percent year over year to $87 million, while multifamily permitting rose 84 percent to 714 units valued at $88 million. Idaho Falls led in both units and permit value, supported by construction of the 170-unit Affinity project, while Rexburg and Pocatello saw increased multifamily permit activity, indicating growing interest beyond the Idaho Falls MSA.
