EASTERN IDAHO | MIDYEAR 2026 LAND MARKET REPORT
COMMERCIAL LAND PERMITS & VALUES
Land activity accelerated across Eastern Idaho during the first half of 2026, with land transactions and permit activity increasing year over year. More than 117 acres changed hands for $17.6 million, representing more than three times the transaction volume and twice the consideration recorded during the same period last year. Commercial permit activity also strengthened, reaching $86 million in value, double last year’s total, while permit volume increased 50 percent. Most permits were issued during the second quarter, with Bannock County recording the highest number of permits. By permit value, Bonneville County led the region, largely driven by high-value construction at Riviera Park in North Idaho Falls.
