SINGLE FAMILY PERMITS & VALUES
Residential land activity remained relatively stable through July, with modest changes in both permitting and home values. Single-family permit volume declined 5.1 percent year over year, while total permit value increased just 2.6 percent compared with July 2025, indicating a relatively steady pace of residential development.
Despite the decline in permit volume, permitted home sizes continued to increase. Average permitted square footage rose steadily from 2,540 square feet in January to 2,664 square feet in July, a 5 percent increase. Development activity was concentrated in Meridian and Kuna, which led the region in residential permits.
SINGLE FAMILY permit volume DECREASED 5.1% year over year.
TOTAL PERMIT VALUE remained STEADY increasing only 2.6% compared to July 2025.
